I used ChatGPT AI to generate this banana bread or cake. For sake of argument, we will continue to call it bread, even though it really could be a cake as it is developed and baked in the same manner. Since everyone, myself included, knows it as bread, I am happy to call it bread!
I have no changes to the recipe, it really turned out great. I only have two optional ingredients, which I have added in my testing, chocolate chips and chopped walnuts. My oh my how nice they are in this recipe.
VEGAN BANANA BREAD
Ingredients
- 375 g Ripe Bananas
- 240 g All Purpose Flour
- 150 g Sugar
- 120 g Vegetable Oil
- 60 g Plant-based Milk
- 5 g Vanilla
- 5 g Baking Soda
- 5 g Baking Powder
- 2.5 g Salt
- 2 g Cinnamon
- .5 g Nutmeg
- 1 Cup Vegan Chocolate Chips (optional)
- 1 Cup Chopped Walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease loaf pan and set aside.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg until combined.
- In a separate large mixing bowl, whisk together the mashed bananas, sugar, vegetable oil, non-dairy milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing it and placing it on a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and enjoy your delicious vegan banana bread!
Notes
This recipe turned out amazing. It is very moist and extremely tasty (with or without the chocolate chips and walnuts – I made it both ways).
